SURRENDER-I lie alone/the fog surrounds me and I know that it’s not right/i must escape this awful state of night/
so here I tread/and standing still without a phase of sight to dread/the noise completes the pictures in my head/

you find you must surrender/and now you see the world with no disguise/and face the truth of now and never/
the rain pours down on me/ the clarity i sought would make us free/but in the depths of fate/
the answers drowned beneath this mud of hate/i gasp to breathe the cause/that brought us to this place yet here we pause/
and in the fear of dawn/the innocence I dreamt about is gone

DELAY-i thought there was a place/where stars shone bright with grace/
and rain fell slow to time/as wind dispersed its seed/and now I learn I can’t revive the past I’ve lost/
and I shall pay the cost/disuaded by the state that traps my mind in place/delay/there is always time/

i’ll repeat the line/replace the marks insisting that I stay/towards the sun that blinds my way/

creates a yearning to regress/on back receding towards a tiny place that holds you close/
to feel the dark it makes within your yearning to embrace/the fear that grows inside keeps churning every day/
as the world surrounds and moves to block your way/and now you’re holding back the things that you regret/
but reaching towards the sky brings more than you could bet

REWIND-a time of changing has begun/the leaves are fallen and undone/inside your spirit starts to run/
and all my fears are overcome/i feel the time has come and that it’s for real/i see the future turn inside of me/
i find i’m ready to rewind/and erase the pain that’s haunted me in time/i watch the days as they fly by/
the turmoil ceases to subside/beyond the shadows freedoms hide/and now the chances have arrived/
i can’t escape/this feeling that my world’s about to break/and I can’t wait
for all that’s built inside to finally wake/ this time I know that what’s ahead will likely overflow/
although my fear is bound to grow/as time will show/i can’t escape the knowledge that my world is full of hate/
i can’t resist the urge to seek out all that might exist/as I tread on the world may think i’m gone/

APPLE ISLAND- there was a house inside the island/ only now it's just remains/
and still a story as we're digging/ shows of all of their lives pains/

it is the nature moving quickly as we march on this terrain/ and when you find you're not forgiven
and the trees are not quite sane/ it is the path that we have taken
that is only left to blame on Apple Island/ as the sky is shining brightly/
navigate this nature's tomb/ we're still amazed by the bright colors
that surround this clouded doom/ and as the boats approach the shoreline/
generations surging forth/ and all our notes are clearly captured as our class had done before
